EXPHIMO organised already for the 4th time the Premio Augusto Massari or the competition of the best thematic exhibit of ‘music’. Since you still have specialised philatelic working groups of music in Italy and Germany, these countries are always present with some participants. The German Motivgruppe Musik celebrated its 60th anniversary with this PHILA MUSICA 2019 exhibition.
Once again the first price went to an Italian exhibit: Guido Poloniato with The musical hymn in the mosaic of history. The next three places were occupied by 3 Belgian exhibits. This was the 21st edition of the Premio Massari and already the 9th time the winner came from Italy (4 times by Valeriano Genovese, one of the judges on PHILA MUSICA 2019, who won with 4 different exhibits). Also the last winner of the Premio (France 2014), Franz Zehenter, was one of the 4 judges.
